The legendary twins are played by the newly discovered Sophia and Jana Münster. In the adult roles are starring Hannelore Elsner, Heino Ferch, Suzanne von Borsody, Anja Kling, Katharina Thalbach and Oliver Pocher.

THE O’SULLIVAN TWINS is a UFA Cinema co-production with Feine Filme, sponsored by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (Bavarian Film Television Fund), the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Filmförderungsanstalt (German Film Board) and the Deutscher Filmförderfond (German Film Promotion Fund). ZDF is the co-production partner. The film is directed by Christine Hartmann based on a screenplay penned by Jane Ainscough and Katharina Reschke. Its producers are Nico Hofmann, Dr. Jürgen Schuster and Ariane Krampe (UFA Cinema), and Hermann Florin and Emmo Lempert (Gesellschaft für Feine Filme). Gesa Tönnesen (UFA Cinema) will oversee the production.    

This time, THE O’SULLIVAN TWINS have really overstepped the mark. What began as a bet ends in a wild chase through a luxury department store and they end up accused of stealing. They run away from school and are sent to the St. Clare’s boarding school by their parents. This is the start of a completely new life for them both. While Nanni (Isabel), the gentler of the twins, begins to make friends, hot-headed Hanni (Pat) finds it difficult to settle in. And when the St. Clare´s  hockey team plays the JoCats, the twins’ old school team, THE O’SULLIVAN TWINS are faced with their first big test and have to make a decision. An unexpected discovery comes to their aid. And when "St. Clares" is endangered, THE O’SULLIVAN TWINS finally realise that this is where they really belong. They hatch a bold rescue plan...
